Cambridge Health Alliance Staff Retreat

Time for yourself! Mindfulness retreat for ALL CHA Staff


Date:  Saturday, February 3, 2018
Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: 163 Gore Street, Cambridge, MA - CHA East Cambridge ESP Space
Registration Cost: $10, lunch is included


Do you catch yourself saying “I’m so busy” or “I’m so stressed” often? Feel like you are on auto-pilot throughout the day? Exhausted and burnt-out? Simply looking for a nice Saturday activity with some lovely colleagues?

Join us for a Cambridge Health Alliance Staff Mindfulness Retreat on Saturday, February 3, 2018 led by mindfulness instructors Bonita Jones and Natalia Cepeda.  Open to all Cambridge Health Alliance staff, employees and trainees (if you have a @challiance.org email - this retreat is meant for you!)

The day will include reflection, short meditation practice, light movement, and quiet lunch. This retreat is an opportunity for you to provide some time and nourishment for yourself!

 

Instructor Bios:

Bonita Jones is a Black woman, a young elder, a training and development program manager, strategic planning and visioning consultant, healer of 37 years in massage therapy, Certified massage therapist, meditation and wellness teacher since 1981 and practitioner since 1975, Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher though the Center for Mindfulness UMASS and MBSR teacher since 2012.  

Bonita has brought these modalities to African descended families and communities of color in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan, Massachusetts, New England, and in her hometown of Memphis, TN. She wants to teach teachers of MBSR. Healing people of color is her mission, and seeing our people healed is her vision.
 

Natalia Cepeda, M.A. is a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, and Mindful Schools Certified Instructor.  She is also an Option Process® counselor and yoga teacher. Natalia started meditation studies as a child in her native Argentina; and spent most of her life teaching children and adults languages, and later on yoga and Mindfulness. She is currently teaching at Cambridge Public Schools and senior centers.
